Early life

Sukhdev Thapar, born in Ludhiana, Punjab, British India to Ramlal Thapar and Ralli Devi in a Khatri family. Sukhdev's father died and he was brought up by his uncle Lala Achintram.^[2]

Revolutionary activities

HSRA

Sukhdev Thapar was a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), and organised revolutionary cells in Punjab and other areas of North India.^[3] He was the chief of Punjab unit of HSRA and instrumental in taking decisions.
Sukhdev is best remembered for his involvement in the Lahore Conspiracy Case of 18 December 1928 and its aftermath.^[3] He was an accomplice of Bhagat Singh, and Shivaram Rajguru, whose conspiracy led to the assassination of Deputy Superintendent of Police, J. P. Saunders in 1928 in response to the violent death of a veteran leader.^[3]

Lahore Conspiracy Case 1930

Sukhdev participated in numerous revolutionary activities such as the 'Prison hunger strike' in 1929; he is best known for his assaults in the Lahore Conspiracy Case (18 December 1928).^[4] Sukhdev was the prime accused in the Lahore Conspiracy Case of 1930, whose title reads "Crown versus Sukhdev and others". The first information report (FIR) of the Lahore Conspiracy Case, filed by Hamilton Harding, senior superintendent of police, in the court of R.S. Pandit, special magistrate in April 1929, mentions Sukhdev as accused number 1. It describes him as Swami alias villager, son of Ram Lal, caste Thapar Khatri. In a list of 25 accused, Bhagat is on the 12^th position, while Rajguru is on the 20^th position. It’s Sukhdev who leads the pack.^[1] Bhagat Singh and Shivaram Rajguru, who had been concerned in the assassination of Deputy Superintendent of Police, J.P. Saunders in 1928, consequently avenging the death of a veteran leader, Lala Lajpat Rai, owing to immoderate police beating within the Conspiracy case. After the Central Assembly Hall bombings in New Delhi (8 April 1929), Sukhdev and his accomplices were arrested and convicted of their crime, going through the loss of life sentence as the verdict.

Execution

On 23rd March 1931, the 3 revolutionaries, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru hanged in Lahore jail.^[3][4] Their bodies were secretly cremated at the banks of the River Sutlej.

Reactions to the executions

The executions were reported widely by the press, especially as they took place on the eve of the annual convention of the Congress party at Karachi.^[5] The New York Times reported:

A reign of terror in the city of Cawnpore in the United Provinces and an attack on Mahatma Gandhi by a youth outside Karachi were among the answers of the Indian extremists today to the hanging of Bhagat Singh and two fellow-assassins.^[6]

National Martyrs Memorial

National Martyrs Memorial is located at Hussainiwala, where Sukhdev, along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru was cremated. Every year on 23rd March martyrs day (Shaheed diwas) is observed remembering three revolutionaries. Tributes and homage is paid at the memorial.^[7]

College

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, a constituent college of the University of Delhi, is named in memory of martyr Sukhdev Thapar. It was established in August 1987.^[8]

Bus Terminal

Amar Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar Inter-State Bus Terminal is the main bus stand of Ludhiana city, the birth place of Sukhdev.^[9]

 
ਇਹ ਰਘੂਬੰਸੀ ਵਰਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਪੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਖ ਹਨ। ਜੱਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਪੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਗੋਤ ਰਘੂਬੰਸੀ ਹਨ। ਬਹੁਤੇ ਗਿੱਲ ਜੱਟ ਮਾਲਵੇ ਤੇ ਮਾਝੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਆਬਾਦ ਸਨ। ਦਰਿਆ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਆਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ?ਨਾਲ ਫਿਰ ਪਹਾੜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ?ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ ਸਿਆਲਕੋਟ ਤੱਕ ਗਿੱਲ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵਸਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਮਠੀਲਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀਪਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਗਿੱਲ ਜੱਟ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹਨ। ਵਰਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਰਾਜਾ ਵਿਨੇਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ 655 ਈਸਵੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਕੰਢੇ ਬਠਿੰਡੇ ਦਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਪਿਸ਼ੌਰ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਲਏ। ਇਸ ਬੰਸ ਦਾ 1010 ਈਸਵੀ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਗਿੱਲ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਘੱਟ ਹਨ। ਵਿਕਰਮਾਦਿੱਤ ਦੀ 26ਵੀਂ ਪੀੜੀ ਤੇ ਵਰਯਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ।
 ਵਰਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਬੰਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਨੇਪਾਲ, ਵਿਜੇਪਾਲ, ਸਤਪਾਲ ਤੇ ਗਣਪਾਲ ਆਦਿ ਹੋਏ। ਗਿੱਲ ਕਸ਼ੱਤਰੀ ਹਨ।

ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਰਵਾਇਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਘੂਬੰਸੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਪਤ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਨੇ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਾਤ ਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਜੱਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਜੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸਨੂੂੰ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਸ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਡਣ ਗਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬੱਚਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ। ਰਾਜਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਗਿੱਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗਿੱਲ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਘਟਨਾ ਹੈ। ਭੀਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾਹੀਆ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸ ਕਬੀਲੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ। ਫਿਰ ਕਾਬੁਲ, ਕੰਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸ ਗਏ। ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਜੋਧੇ ਹਰਕੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗਿੱਲਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗਿੱਲ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੱਧ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਨਾਨ ਆਏ ਹੋਣ ਫਿਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਹੋਣ।

ਮਹਿਮੂਦ?ਗਜ਼ਨਵੀ ਜਿਹੇ ਕੱਟੜ, ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਤੇ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਕੇ 1026?27 ਈਸਵੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਜੱਟ ਕਬੀਲੇ ਰੂਸ ਤੇ ਯੂਰਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਪਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਯੂਰਪੀਅਨ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮਾਨ, ਢਿੱਲੋਂ, ਗਿੱਲ ਆਦਿ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਰੇ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਾਲਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਰਵਾਇਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਨੈਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਨੌਵੀਂ ਪੀੜੀ 'ਚ ਜੈਪਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਜੈਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਬੰਸ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੇਟੋਂ ਗਿੱਲ ਪਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਰਤਨ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਗਿੱਲਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਕੀਮ ਬਣਾਈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਪਕੜੀ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਰਤਨ ਲਾਲ ਡਰਕੇ ਬਗ਼ਦਾਦ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਬਣਕੇ ਮੱਕੇ ਦਾ ਹਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਾਜ਼ੀ ਰਤਨ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ। ਬਗ਼ਦਾਦ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਲੀਫੇ ਤੇ ਲੱਖੀ ਭੱਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਜੀ ਰਤਨ ਨੇ ਗਿੱਲ ਪਾਲ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਵਾਰਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਗੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜਾ ਦਿਤਾ। ਆਪ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਗਿੱਲ ਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੱਠ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੰਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧਿਆ ਫੁਲਿਆ। ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਅੱਠ ਪੁੱਤਰ?ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਿੱਲ, ਝਲੀ, ਬੱਧਣ, ਵੈਰਸੀ, ਨਾਗ, ਸਰਪ, ਲਧਾਈ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਪਰਾ ਸਨ। ਤਿੰਨ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਝੋਰੜ ਗਿੱਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੰਸ, ਮਾਲਵੇ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ, ਮੋਗਾ ਤੇ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸੀ। ਵੈਰਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਘਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਬੰਸ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ, ਬੁਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਸ਼ਾਹ, ਚੜਿਕ, ਫੂਲੇਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਰਣੀਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਸਨ। ਬੱਧਣ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੱਧਦੀ ਸੀ। ਬੱਧਣ ਬੰਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚੋਗਾਵਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੋਗੇ ਦੇ ਚਾਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੰਡਵਾਲੇ ਥੇਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੋਗਾ ਬੰਨਿਆ। ਸਾਧੂ ਦੇ ਵਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੋਗੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਗਿੱਲ ਬਤਾਲੀ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲ ਗਏ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੋਗਾ ਬਤਾਲੀ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ। ਮੋਗੇ ਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਗਲ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਤ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੋਗੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ 42 ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਧਰ ਰਹੀ। ਸ਼ੁਰੂ?ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਰਾੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਸੰਘਰ ਕੇ ਬਰਾੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਮੋਗਾ ਗਿੱਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੋਗਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਦਾ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਕ ਸੀ।

ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮਹਿਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਗਿੱਲ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਿੱਲ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਬੰਸ ਮੋਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਬਾਦ ਹੋਈ। ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਿਸਲ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸੁਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਸਨ। ਮਾਝੇ ਦੇ ਮਜੀਠੀਏ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਨ। ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਿੱਲ ਜ਼ੀਰੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉੱਠਕੇ ਦੁਆਬੇ ਵੱਲ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦਾਦੂ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਪੌਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਅਕਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਗਿੱਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰਅੰਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਠੀਕ ਰੱਖੇ। ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਗੌਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਠਿੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਫਤਿਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਸੇ ਹਿਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਗੀਰਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਸਿਰਸੇ ਹਿਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਗਿੱਲ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਜਾਟ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਜੱਟ ਸਿੱਖ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੋਰੜ ਗਿੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਪਿੰਡ ਹਨ।

In December 1928, Bhagat Singh and an associate, Shivaram Rajguru, fatally shot a 21-year-old British police officer, John Saunders, in Lahore, British India, mistaking Saunders, who was still on probation, for the British police superintendent, James Scott, whom they had intended to assassinate. They believed Scott was responsible for the death of popular Indian nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai, by having ordered a lathi chargein which Rai was injured, and, two weeks after which, died of a heart attack. Saunders was felled by a single shot from Rajguru, a marksman. He was then shot several times by Singh, the postmortem report showing eight bullet wounds. Another associate of Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, shot dead an Indian police constable, Chanan Singh, who attempted to pursue Singh and Rajguru as they fled.

After escaping, Singh and his associates, using pseudonyms, publicly owned to avenging Lajpat Rai's death, putting up prepared posters, which, however, they had altered to show Saunders as their intended target. Singh was thereafter on the run for many months, and no convictions resulted at the time. Surfacing again in April 1929, he and another associate, Batukeshwar Dutt, exploded two improvised bombs inside the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi. They showered leaflets from the gallery on the legislators below, shouted slogans, and then allowed the authorities to arrest them. The arrest, and the resulting publicity, had the effect of bringing to light Singh's complicity in the John Saunders case. Awaiting trial, Singh gained much public sympathy after he joined fellow defendant Jatin Das in a hunger strike, demanding better prison conditions for Indian prisoners, and ending in Das's death from starvation in September 1929. Singh was convicted and hanged in March 1931, aged 23.

Bhagat Singh became a popular folk hero after his death. In still later years, Singh, an atheist and socialist in life, won admirers in India from among a political spectrum that included both Communists and right-wing Hindu nationalists. Although many of Singh's associates, as well as many Indian anti-colonial revolutionaries, were also involved in daring acts, and were either executed or died violent deaths, few came to be lionised in popular art and literature to the same extent as Singh

So you will need some patience and consistent posts on your blog so people will find your particular blog interesting enough. Just like on social media you have to work on increasing your audience . If you blog regularly and provide valuable content in your post then eventually you will find that more people are interested in reading your opinions.Desipte all the privacy issues , microblogging on social media has it's own perks as your content is discovered relatively easily by your target audience (that is the people who would like to see the kind of stuff you are posting). If you are comfortable with making videos then youtube is probably the best place to start your blogging (often called vlogging ) . If you are into photos then Instagram , facebook or twitter for text posts.Another problem with using these social media platforms for daily blogging is that they don't share any revenue with you except YouTube where you can get some compensation for your work. So if you are even remotely interested in generating some revenue from your blogs then starting a personal blog is definetly your best choice. Internet was created in 1990 by CERN physicist Tim Berners-Lee and became free to use by everyone in 1993. The free internet meant that anyone can publish documents and make them publicly  accessible to everyone in the world via a public Internet Protocol (IP) address. These IP addresses , used to locate files and documents on the internet , are further referenced by Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or web addresses (like example.com) that are easy to remember . The publicly accessible document is often referred to as a webpage and collection of webpages is called a website. Modern webpages are written in html including various css styles , scripts or images and hosted on one or more web servers which are basically computers that have publicly accessible webpages or files.
